Note

Whether approval will be given is subject to the results of inspection on the premises to be conducted by officers of Customs and Excise Department (C&ED)

Important Notes

No delivery of rice shall be made from the approved rice storage place without the written authorisation of the Director-General of Trade and Industry.
Officers of C&ED have the authority to inspect the rice under storage and all related documents.
The owner/operator of an approved rice storage place must maintain an accurate and up-to-date godown records of rice under storage, and lodge a monthly return no later than 7 days after the end of the month that the return covers.
