Commercial Information Circular No. 172/2024

United Kingdom (UK) : Results of reconsideration of original decisions in the anti-dumping investigation on imports of certain aluminium extrusions originating in the Mainland of China

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 162/2023 of 23 February 2023, the UK Government published two notices on 27 February 2024 upholding the original decisions in the anti-dumping investigation on imports of certain aluminium extrusions originating in the Mainland of China following the reconsideration. 2.The two original decisions upheld are related to (i) the recommendation to impose anti-dumping measures on certain aluminium extrusions originating in the Mainland of China and (ii) the final negative determination in relation to large aluminium extrusions (products over 310mm cross-sectional dimension and products with a weight greater than 14kg/m). Any appeal must be received by the Upper Tribunal in the UK no later than one month from 27 February 2024 following details in the notices.

3.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact ZHENG Jingmin, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 9797. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
