Commercial Information Circular No. 86/2023

European Union (EU)* : Amendment to Implementing Regulation imposing definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of threaded tube or pipe cast fittings, of malleable cast iron and spheroidal graphite cast iron, originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China, and subjecting relevant imports to surveillance

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 916/2022 of 18 November 2022, the European Commission published an Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/131 on 19 January 2023 (the Regulation) to amend the Implementing Regulation imposing definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of threaded tube or pipe cast fittings, of malleable cast iron and spheroidal graphite cast iron, originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China, and subjecting relevant imports originating in the Mainland of China to surveillance.  The Regulation is available at: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=CELEX:32023R0131&from=EN.

2.For the product concerned originally fell under CN codes ex 7307 19 10 (TARIC codes 7307 19 10 10 and 7307 19 10 20), the TARIC codes and descriptions under CN code ex 7307 19 10 have been restructured while the TARIC codes to which measures apply remain unchanged.  Imports under the restructured TARIC codes mentioned in Article 1 of the Regulation, or any corresponding future codes, originating in the Mainland of China, shall be subject to surveillance to allow the Commission to follow the statistical trends of relevant imports.  The amendments will enter into force on 20 January 2023.

3.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact ZHENG Jingmin, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 9797.  The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
