United Kingdom (UK) : Initiation of an extension review of the safeguard measure on imports of certain steel products

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 435/2023 of 3 July 2023, the UK Government published a notice on 4 September 2023 initiating an extension review of the safeguard measure on imports of certain steel products. The review concerns whether the expiry of the safeguard measure on 30 June 2024 would likely result in a continuation or recurrence of serious injury to the UK producers of the relevant goods, following the measure imposed as a result of the reconsideration of previous reviews. 2.All interested parties may register their interest in the review by 19 September 2023 via the Trade Remedies Service at: https://www.trade-remedies.service.gov.uk/. They may request a hearing during the review process through the Trade Remedies Service.

3.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact ZHENG Jingmin, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 9797. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
