Commercial Information Circular No. 435/2023

United Kingdom (UK) : Result of a tariff rate quota review of the safeguard measure on imports of certain steel products

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 135/2023 of 14 February 2023, the UK Government published notices 2023/10 and 2023/11 on 30 June 2023 to vary the safeguard measure on imports of certain steel products.

2.In gist, following the tariff rate quota review, the UK Government varied the developing countries whose status as either subject to or excepted from the safeguard measure, and resulting tariff rate quota allocations. The updated quota applies from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024. 3.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact ZHENG Jingmin, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 9797. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
