United Kingdom (UK) : Initiation of a tariff rate quota review of the safeguard measure on imports of certain steel products

The UK Government published a notice on 13 February 2023 initiating a tariff rate quota review of the safeguard measure on imports of certain steel products with a revised scope. The review concerns whether the exception status of developing countries needs to be revised, and is expanded to include all developing countries across all categories of steel. 2.All interested parties may register their interest in the review by 27 February 2023 via the Trade Remedies Service at: https://www.trade-remedies.service.gov.uk/. They may request a hearing during the review process through the Trade Remedies Service. 3.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact ZHENG Jingmin, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 9797. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
