Commercial Information Circular No. 46/2023

European Union (EU)* : Amendment to Implementing Regulation imposing definitive safeguard measure against imports of certain steel products

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 516/2022 of 28 June 2022, the European Commission (the Commission) has adopted an Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/104 published on 13 January 2023 to amend the Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/159 concerning the imposition of definitive safeguard measure against imports of certain steel products.

2.In gist, following a report adopted by the World Trade Organization's Dispute Settlement Body, the Commission has added the reasoning of the measure in an Annex, which supplements the findings made in the original investigation. The amendment will enter into force on 14 January 2023 and shall apply as of 2 February 2019. 3.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact ZHENG Jingmin, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 9797. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
