European Union (EU)* : Amendment to Implementing Regulation imposing definitive safeguard measure against imports of certain steel products
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 344/2022 of 27 April 2022, the European Commission (the Commission) has adopted an Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/978 published on 24 June 2022 to amend the Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/159 concerning the imposition of definitive safeguard measure against imports of certain steel products.
2.In gist, the Commission has made technical adjustments to the system of quota allocation and administration concerning certain product categories and updated the list of developing countries subject to the safeguard measure. The amendment will enter into force on 1 July 2022. 3.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact GONG Zhihong, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 6201. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
