Commercial Information Circular No. 95/2022
European Union (EU)* : Result of expiry review of the anti-dumping measures on acesulfame potassium originating in the Mainland of China
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 308/2020 of 14 April 2020, the European Commission published an Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/116 on 28 January 2022 to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of acesulfame potassium originating in the Mainland of China following the expiry review. 2.Salient points of the regulation are set out below -
| (a) Product | : | Acesulfame potassium (potassium salt of 6-methyl-1,2,3- oxathiazin-4(3H)-one 2,2-dioxide; CAS RN 55589-62-3) originating in the Mainland of China, currently falling under CN code ex 2934 99 90 (TARIC code 2934 99 90 21) |
| (b) Rate of duty | : | EUR 4.58 per kg net product weight (except for two companies whose applicable amounts of duty ranging from EUR 2.64 to EUR 4.47 per kg net product weight) |
| (c) Effective date | : | 29 January 2022 |

The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
