European Union (EU)* : Impending expiry of anti-dumping measures on acesulfame potassium originating in the Mainland of China

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 1031/2015 of 3 November 2015, the European Commission published a notice 2020/C 46/08 concerning the impending expiry of the anti-dumping measures on imports of acesulfame potassium originating in the Mainland of China. The notice is available at:

2.The product concerned is acesulfame potassium (potassium salt of 6-methyl-1,2,3-oxathiazin-4(3H)-one 2,2-dioxide; CAS RN 55589-62-3), currently falling within CN code ex 2934 99 90 (TARIC code 2934 99 90 21). Unless a review is initiated in accordance with the procedure set out in the notice, the anti-dumping duty will expire at midnight of 1 November 2020.

3.Definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of the product originating in the Mainland of China has been imposed since 1 November 2015. The current rate of anti-dumping duty is EUR 4.58 per kg net product weight (except for a number of companies whose applicable amounts of duty ranging from EUR 2.64 to EUR 4.58 per kg net product weight).
