Commercial Information Circular No. 65/2022

European Union (EU)* : Result of expiry review of the anti-dumping measure on certain grain-oriented flat-rolled products of silicon-electrical steel originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 301/2020 of 9 April 2020, the European Commission published an Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/58 on 17 January 2022 to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain grain-oriented flat-rolled products of silicon-electrical steel originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China following the expiry review. 2.Salient points of the regulation are set out below -

(a) Product : Grain-oriented flat-rolled products of silicon-electrical steel, of a thickness of more than 0.16 mm, currently falling under CN codes ex 7225 11 00 (TARIC codes 7225 11 00 11, 7225 11 00 15 and 7225 11 00 19) and ex 7226 11 00 (TARIC codes 7226 11 00 12, 7226 11 00 14, 7226 11 00 16, 7226 11 00 92, 7226 11 00 94 and 7226 11 00 96), originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China
(b) Rate of duty : 36.6% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a company with individual duty rate set at 21.5%)
(c) Effective date : 18 January 2022

The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
