European Union (EU)* : Impending expiry of anti-dumping measures on certain grain-oriented flat-rolled products of silicon-electrical steel originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 1143/2015 of 3 December 2015, the European Commission published a notice 2020/C 40/05 concerning the impending expiry of the anti-dumping measures on imports of certain grain-oriented flat-rolled products of silicon-electrical steel originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China. 2.The product concerned is grain-oriented flat-rolled products of silicon-electrical steel, of a thickness of more than 0.16 mm, currently falling within CN codes ex 7225 11 00 (TARIC codes 7225 11 00 11, 7225 11 00 15 and 7225 11 00 19) and ex 7226 11 00 (TARIC codes 7226 11 00 12, 7226 11 00 14, 7226 11 00 16, 7226 11 00 92, 7226 11 00 94 and 7226 11 00 96). Unless a review is initiated in accordance with the procedure set out in the notice, the anti-dumping duty will expire at midnight of 31 October 2020.

3.Definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of the product originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China has been imposed since 31 October 2015. The current rate of anti-dumping duty is 36.6% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies whose individual duty rates range from 21.5% to 36.6%).
