Commercial Information Circular No. 382/2022

Turkey : Results of the expiry review of the anti-dumping measures on imports of tempered glass lids originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China and Hong Kong

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 226/2022 of 18 March 2022, the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey advised that the expiry review of the anti-dumping measures imposed on imports of tempered glass lids originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China and Hong Kong, had been completed and a Communiqué was published in the Official Gazette dated 13 May 2022.  The Communiqué No. 2022/13 (in Turkish) is available at: https://www.resmigazete.gov.tr/eskiler/2022/05/20220513-22.htm.

2.Salient points of the Communiqué are set out below -

(a) Product : Lids/covers made of tempered (heat-resistant) glass for pots, pans and teapots, classified under CTSP (Customs Tariff Statistics Position) 7010.20.00.00.00 in the Turkish Customs Tariff Schedule
(b) Rate of duty :
  1. Repealed for product originating in Hong Kong; and
  2. US$0.52/kg for product originating in the Mainland of China
    (note: reduced from US$0.91/kg)
(c) Effective date : 13 May 2022

3.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact GONG Zhihong, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 6201.  The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
