Turkey : Final notification report of an expiry review of the anti-dumping measures on imports of tempered glass lids originating in, inter alia, Hong Kong

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 275/2021 of 22 April 2021, the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey (the Ministry) advised that the expiry review of the anti-dumping measures imposed on imports of tempered glass lids originating in, inter alia, Hong Kong, has reached the final notification stage. The final notification report (the Report) is available at: https://www.ticaret.gov.tr/ithalat/ticaret-politikasi-savunma-araclari/damping-ve-subvansiyon/sorusturmalar/nggs-teblig-no2021-21-yalnizca-camdan-tencere-tava-ve-caydanlik-kapaklari.

2. According to the Office of the Commercial Attaché of the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Hong Kong, the following arrangements are in place:

  1. views on the Report must be submitted to the email address of the Ministry (ticaretbakanligi@hs01.kep.tr) by the end of business of 25 March 2022; and
  2. an online public hearing, in Turkish, for the measures mentioned in the Report is planned to be held on 28 March 2022 at 14:00 (Turkish time). The number of participants shall not exceed two persons for each company/institution. Interested parties should provide the name and title of participant(s), name of company/institution, email address(s) and mobile phone number(s) to the email address erdilm@tacaret.gov.tr by the end of business of 25 March 2022. Details of the meeting arrangements will be notified by email subsequently; and
  3. information given by the participants at the public hearing shall be taken into consideration only if it is presented in writing. Furthermore, a non-confidential summary of the confidential information shall be submitted separately with the claim that the information provided does not contain confidentiality.

3. For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact GONG Zhihong, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 6201. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.

4. By way of background, definitive anti-dumping duty on tempered glass lids originating in, inter alia, Hong Kong has been imposed since 23 May 2010. During the review, the current rate of duty US$0.91/kg continues to apply.
