European Union (EU)* : Imposition of definitive countervailing duties and amendments to Implementing Regulation imposing definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of aluminium converter foil originating in the Mainland of China
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 861/2021 of 8 December 2021, the European Commission published an Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/2287 on 22 December 2021 to impose definitive countervailing duties and amend the Implementing Regulation imposing definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of aluminium converter foil originating in the Mainland of China. 2.Salient points of the regulation are set out below -
| (a) Product | : | Aluminium converter foil of a thickness of less than 0.021 mm, not backed, not further worked than rolled, in rolls of a weight exceeding 10 kg, currently falling under CN code ex 7607 11 19 (TARIC codes 7607 11 19 60 and 7607 11 19 91) |
| Imposition of definitive countervailing duties | ||
| (b) Rate of duty | : | 18.2% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates from 8.6% to 18.2%) |
| (c) Effective date | : | 23 December 2021 |
| Amendments to definitive anti-dumping duties | ||
| (d) Rate of duty | : | 28.5% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates amended, ranging from 6.0% to 28.5%) |
| (e) Effective date | : | 23 December 2021 |
