Commercial Information Circular No. 499/2018

European Union (EU)* : Partial reopening of exemption investigation concerning anti-dumping measures on certain open mesh fabrics of glass fibres originating in the Mainland of China as extended to imports from India

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 904/2015 of 11 September 2015, the European Commission (the Commission) has published a notice on the partial reopening of the exemption investigation concerning the anti-dumping measures on imports of certain open mesh fabrics of glass fibres originating in the Mainland of China as extended to imports from India, whether declared as originating in India or not.  The notice is available at: http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=CELEX:52018XC0518(03)&from=EN.

2.The Commission has decided to reopen the exemption investigation. The reopening is limited in scope to the examination of whether it would be appropriate to extend the temporal scope of the exemption backward to the period between the day after 20 December 2013 and 10 September 2015.

3.Subject to the provision of the notice, all interested parties are invited to make their views known, submit information and provide supporting evidence within 37 days from 18 May 2018, unless otherwise specified. They may request to be heard by the Commission investigation services. A request for hearing with or intervention of the Hearing Officer, who reports directly to the Commissioner for Trade of the EU, may also be made. Hearing requests should be made in writing, specifying the reasons for the request, within 15 days from 18 May 2018.
