Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 856/2014 of 24 September 2014, the European Commission (the Commission) has published an implementing regulation to amend the extension of definitive anti-dumping measures imposed on imports of certain open mesh fabrics of glass fibres originating in the Mainland of China (the products concerned) to imports consigned, inter alia, from India, whether declared as originating in India or not. The implementing regulation can be accessed through the following link:
http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=OJ:JOL_2015_236_R_0001&from=EN

DETAILS

2.Definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain open mesh fabrics of glass fibres originating in the Mainland of China had been imposed since 10 August 2011 at a rate of 62.9% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price, before duty (except for a number of companies whose individual duty rates range from 48.4% to 62.9%).

3.On the basis of a request lodged by one of the exporting producers in India of the products concerned, Pyrotek India Pvt. Ltd ('the applicant'), the Commission initiated an investigation on 23 September 2014 to ascertain whether the applicant is a genuine producer of the products concerned and should be exempted from the extended measures.

4.The Commission has now completed the investigation and concluded that exemption should be granted to the applicant provided that a valid commercial invoice is presented to the custom authorities of the Member States. The implementing regulation shall enter into force on 11 September 2015.

OTHER INFORMATION

5.Based on the findings of four separate circumvention investigations, the definitive anti-dumping duty has been extended to imports of the same product consigned from Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, India and Indonesia whether declared as originating in Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, India and Indonesia or not; and to imports of certain slightly modified open mesh fabrics of glass fibres originating in the Mainland of China.
