European Union (EU)* : Impending expiry of anti-dumping and countervailing measures on crystalline silicon photovoltaic modules and key components (i.e. cells) originating in the Mainland of China
Further to Commercial Information Circulars Nos. 183/2017 and 184/2017 of 7 March 2017, and No. 840/2017 of 29 September 2017, the European Commission has published two notices concerning the impending expiry of the anti-dumping and countervailing measures on imports of crystalline silicon photovoltaic modules and key components (i.e. cells) originating in the Mainland of China. 2.Unless reviews are initiated in accordance with the procedure set out in the notices, the anti-dumping and countervailing duties will expire at midnight of 3 September 2018.
3.Definitive anti-dumping and countervailing duties on imports of the product originating in the Mainland of China have been imposed in their original forms since 6 December 2013. The current rates of anti-dumping and countervailing duties are, respectively, 53.4% and 11.5% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except a number of companies the duty amounts for which are the differences between the net, free-at-Union-frontier price and the minimum import prices (MIPs) as stipulated in the system of decreasing product-specific MIPs#).
