Dear Sirs,
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 1068/2024 of 27 December 2024, the European Commission published Regulation (EU) 2025/2650 on 23 December 2025 to amend Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 as regards simplification of due diligence requirements and further postponement of the date of application of the subject Regulation. 2.In gist, under the revised Regulation, certain printed products, such as books, newspapers and pictures, were removed from the scope. Only the operators that first place a covered product on the EU market are required to submit the full due diligence statement, and micro and small primary operators are only required to submit a one-off simplified declaration. The date of application of the relevant requirements is further postponed by 12 months to 30 December 2026, with a six‑month extension for micro and small operators to 30 June 2027.
