United Kingdom (UK) : Making imports of rutile titanium dioxide originating in Chinese Mainland subject to registration
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 226/2026 of 4 March 2026, the UK Government published Trade Remedies Notice 2026/14 on 26 March 2026 to make imports of rutile titanium dioxide originating in Chinese Mainland currently under anti‑dumping investigation subject to registration. 2.The product concerned is rutile titanium oxides in pigments and preparations based on rutile titanium dioxide, containing a minimum of 80% by weight of titanium dioxide calculated on the dry matter and having all types of particle sizes, classified under Chemical Abstracts Service Registry Numbers 12065-65-5 and 13463‑67‑7, currently falling under UK Global Tariff commodity codes 2823 0000 10, 2823 0000 30, 2823 0000 80, 2823 0000 83, 3206 1100 10, 3206 1100 30, 3206 1100 80, 3206 1100 85. Other forms of titanium dioxide, such as anatase or brookite are excluded from the registration.
3.The registration of the product concerned applies from 27 March 2026. For further details, please refer to the above Trade Remedies Notice.
4.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact ZHENG Jingmin, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 9797. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
