Dear Sirs,
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 1087/2025 of 19 December 2025, the European Commission published Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/366 on 20 February 2026 to make imports of sodium benzoate originating in Chinese Mainland currently under the anti-dumping investigation subject to registration. The Implementing Regulation is available at: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=OJ:L_202600366.
2.The product concerned is sodium benzoate, usually falling under the Customs and Statistics number 0023120-9 and the Chemical Abstracts Service number 532-32-1, currently classified under ex CN code 2916 31 00 (TARIC code 2916 31 00 91).
3.The Implementing Regulation has entered into force on 21 February 2026. For further details, please refer to the above Implementing Regulation.
4.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact ZHENG Jingmin, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 9797. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
