Application Procedures

New Application

Under Regulations 6DB of the Import and Export (General) Regulations (Cap. 60 Subsidiary legislations A), all parties carrying on a business of importing, exporting, buying, selling or carrying other than a person falling under paragraph (1A) of Regulations 6DB of the Import and Export (General/Regulations (Cap.60, subsidiary legislations A) Note) rough diamonds must be registered with the Director-General of Trade and Industry and comply with certain requirements. The registration is valid for two years.

Application form for registration as a rough diamond trader can be downloaded (please click here) (pdf format) or obtained from the Rough Diamonds and Ozone Depleting Substances Licensing Unit at Room 1604, 16/F, Trade and Industry Tower, 3 Concorde Road, Kowloon City, Hong Kong.

Duly completed forms together with the required supporting documents may be returned by hand, by mail, or by electronic submission to the Rough Diamonds and Ozone Depleting Substances Licensing Unit. Applicants should pay the requisite registration application fee (please click here for payment procedures).
