Ozone Depleting Substances

Registration of Importers and Exporters of Ozone Depleting Substances

Importers and exporters of ozone depleting substances listed in the Schedule to the Ozone Layer Protection Ordinance have to be registered with the Director of Environmental Protection under the Ozone Layer Protection Ordinance.

Application form for registration under the Ozone Layer Protection Ordinance can be downloaded (please click here) (pdf format) or obtained from the Rough Diamonds and Ozone Depleting Substances Licensing Unit at Room 1604, 16/F, Trade and Industry Tower, 3 Concorde Road, Kowloon City, Hong Kong.

Duly completed forms together with the required supporting documents may be returned by hand, by mail, or by electronic submission to the Rough Diamonds and Ozone Depleting Substances Licensing Unit. Applicants should also pay the requisite registration application fee.

Renewal of registration of existing importers and exporters of ozone depleting substances normally takes place in October/ November every year.
