Procedures and Documentation Requirements

Renewal of Registration

A Factory Registration is valid for one year. A registered factory has to renew its Factory Registration annually if it wants to continue to make use of the Department's certification services and facilities. For renewal of Factory Registration, a factory should:

1. pay the registration fee by credit card through the e-Payment Platform Portal, by e-cheque emailed to fr_section@tid.gov.hk, using pay-in slip at any branch of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, or by means of cash, Easy Pay System (EPS), Faster Payment System (FPS) or cheque at the Shroff and Form Sales Counter, Room 1309 of Trade and Industry Tower using the Payment Voucher (please refer to the Notes for Payment of Factory Registration (FR) Fee); and
2. return a photocopy of machine-printed pay-in slip or the franked Part B of the Payment Voucher (applicable if the payment of registration fee is made at HSBC or the Shroff and Form Sales Counter), and a completed Product Particulars and Production Capacity Information (PPPC) sheet by the following means:
   - by fax (fax no.: 2787 6048);
   - by email (email address: fr_section@tid.gov.hk);
   - by post (address: Factory Registration and Origin Certification Branch, 14/F, Trade and Industry Tower, 3 Concorde Road, Kowloon City, Hong Kong); or
   - in person, including by courier (address: Information Counter, Integrated Customer Service Centre, Room 1324, 13/F, Trade and Industry Tower, 3 Concorde Road, Kowloon City, Hong Kong).

After payment of Factory Registration fee is effected, the Department will issue a Confirmation of Renewal of Factory Registration by post.

The Factory Registration of a manufacturer will become invalid and the Factory Registration number will be deleted if it is not renewed on or before the expiry date.
