Notice to Exporters: Series 2 (EU) No. 2/2015

European Union (EU)* : Common rules for imports of textile products from certain third countries not covered by bilateral agreements, protocols or other arrangements, or by other specific Union import rules (Recast)

The European Parliament and the Council of the EU published in the Official Journal of the European Union dated 25 June 2015 a new Regulation to recast the Council Regulation (EC) No 517/94. The new Regulation (EU) 2015/936, which enters into force on 15 July 2015, can be accessed through the following link:

DETAILS

2.Council Regulation (EC) No 517/94 stipulates the common rules for imports of textile products from certain third countries not covered by bilateral agreements, protocols or other arrangements, or by other specific Union import rules. Annex I thereto determines the categories of imported textile products by Combined Nomenclature (CN) code.

3.The above Regulation is repealed and recast as the new Regulation (EU) 2015/936 in the interest of clarity, having regard to the numerous substantial amendments made and other further amendments being required. References to the repealed Regulation shall be construed as references to Regulation (EU) 2015/936 and shall be read in accordance with the correlation table in Annex VIII thereto.
