Commercial Information Circular No. 303/2024
European Union (EU)* : Ecodesign Requirements for Local Space Heaters and Separate Related Controls
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 722/2015 of 28 July 2015, the European Commission has adopted a Regulation which was published on 19 April 2024 to lay down ecodesign requirements for local space heaters and separate related controls pursuant to Directive 2009/125/EC, and to repeal Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1188. Details are set out in the adopted Commission Regulation (EU) 2024/1103 which can be accessed through the following link: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=OJ:L_202401103. It will enter into force on 9 May 2024 with Article 6 on circumvention to apply from the same date and other provisions to apply from 1 July 2025.
