Commercial Information Circular No. 295/2024

European Union (EU)* : Amendments to the Union Customs Code

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 164/2023 of 27 February 2023, the European Commission has adopted two Regulations which were published on 15 April 2024 to amend two regulations for implementing Regulation (EU) No. 952/2013 which lays down the Union Customs Code.

2.Amendments were made to Delegated Regulation (EU) 2015/2446 and Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/2447 in order to introduce decisions relating to binding valuation information in the customs legislation and lay down relevant procedural rules, including introducing an electronic system for exchange and storage of binding origin and valuation information. The adopted Regulations will enter into force on 5 May 2024 and shall apply from 1 December 2027.
