European Union (EU)* : Changes in entry procedure of goods under the Import Control System 2 (ICS2) Release 3

The EU will implement the third release of its customs pre-arrival safety and security system, ICS2 Release 3, on 3 June 2024. All goods transported on maritime and inland waterways, roads and railways, to or through the EU, Northern Ireland, Norway or Switzerland, including postal and express consignments, will be subject to new requirements of data submission in the ICS2 in the form of a complete Entry Summary Declaration. Relevant information for economic operators regarding ICS2 Release 3 prepared by the European Commission are available at: https://taxation-customs.ec.europa.eu/customs-4/customs-security/import-control-system-2-ics2-0/import-control-system-2-release-3_en.
