Commercial Information Circular No. 198/2024
European Union (EU)* : Imposition of a definitive anti-dumping duty and definitively collecting the provisional duty on imports of electrolytic manganese dioxides originating in the Mainland of China
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 745/2023 of 16 October 2023, the European Commission published Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/844 on 14 March 2024 to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty and definitively collect the provisional duty on imports of electrolytic manganese dioxide originating in the Mainland of China. 2.Salient points of the regulation are set out below -
| (a) Product | : | Electrolytic manganese dioxides (namely manganese dioxides produced through an electrolytic process) not heat-treated after the electrolytic process, currently falling under CN code ex 2820 10 00 (TARIC code 2820 10 00 10) and originating in the Mainland of China |
| (b) Rate of duty | : | 35% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates from 0% to 17.1%) |
| (c) Effective date | : | 15 March 2024 |
| (d) Collection of duty | : | The amounts secured by way of the provisional anti-dumping duty under Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/2120 shall be definitively collected. The amounts secured in excess of the definitive rates of the anti-dumping duty shall be released. |

The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
