Commercial Information Circular No. 179/2024
European Union (EU)* : Result of expiry review of the anti-dumping measures on imports of certain cast iron articles originating in the Mainland of China
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 93/2023 of 27 January 2023, the European Commission published Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/770 on 5 March 2024 to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain cast iron articles originating in the Mainland of China following the expiry review. 2.Salient points of the regulation are set out below -
(a) Product | : | Certain articles of lamellar graphite cast iron (grey iron) or spheroidal graphite cast iron (also known as ductile cast iron), and parts thereof currently falling under CN codes ex 7325 10 00 (TARIC code 7325 10 00 31) and ex 7325 99 10 (TARIC code 7325 99 10 60), and originating in the Mainland of China. These articles are of a kind used to:
The following product types are excluded from the definition of the product concerned:

(b) Rate of duty | : | 38.1% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates from 15.5% to 31.5%) |
(c) Effective date | : | 6 March 2024 |

The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
