Commercial Information Circular No. 148/2024

European Union (EU)* : Result of expiry review of the anti-dumping measures on imports of ceramic tiles originating in the Mainland of China

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 923/2022 of 22 November 2022, the European Commission published Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/493 on 13 February 2024 to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of ceramic tiles originating in the Mainland of China following the expiry review. 2.Salient points of the regulation are set out below -

(a) Product : Glazed and unglazed ceramic flags and paving, hearth or wall tiles; glazed and unglazed ceramic mosaic cubes and the like, whether or not on a backing, currently falling under HS code 6907, and originating in the Mainland of China
(b) Rate of duty : 69.7% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates from 13.9% to 36.5%)
(c) Effective date : 14 February 2024

The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
