European Union (EU)* : Result of expiry review of the anti-dumping measures on imports of certain open mesh fabrics of glass fibres originating in the Mainland of China
Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 866/2022 of 7 November 2022, the European Commission published Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/357 on 24 January 2024 to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain open mesh fabrics of glass fibres originating in the Mainland of China following the expiry review. 2.Salient points of the regulation are set out below -
| (a) Product | : | Open mesh fabrics of glass fibres, of a cell size of more than 1.8 mm both in length and in width and weighing more than 35 g/m2, excluding fibreglass discs, currently falling under CN codes ex 7019 63 00, ex 7019 64 00, ex 7019 65 00, ex 7019 66 00 and ex 7019 69 90 (TARIC codes 7019 63 00 19, 7019 64 00 19, 7019 65 00 18, 7019 66 00 18 and 7019 69 90 19) and originating in the Mainland of China |
| (b) Rate of duty | : | 62.9% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates from 48.4% to 60.7%) |
| (c) Effective date | : | 25 January 2024 |

The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
