Commercial Information Circular No. 833/2023

United Kingdom (UK) : Initiation of investigations into alleged dumping and subsidisation on imports of certain excavators originating in the Mainland of China

The UK Government published two notices on 15 November 2023 initiating investigations into alleged dumping and subsidisation on imports of certain excavators originating in the Mainland of China. 2.The product under investigations is self-propelled track-laying (i.e. tracked) excavators with a 360° revolving superstructure and with an operating weight of 11,000 kg (i.e. 11 tons) or more, currently falling under UK Global Tariff commodity code 8429521000.

3.All interested parties may register their interest in the investigations by 30 November 2023 via the Trade Remedies Service at: https://www.trade-remedies.service.gov.uk/. They may submit comments on any issues relevant to the investigations and request a hearing through the Trade Remedies Service.

4.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact ZHENG Jingmin, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 9797. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
