European Union (EU)* : Initiation of an investigation concerning possible circumvention of the countervailing measures on imports of biodiesel originating in Indonesia by imports of biodiesel consigned from, inter alia, the Mainland of China, whether declared as originating in the Mainland of China or not, and making such imports subject to registration

The European Commission published an Implementing Regulation (EU) 2023/1637 on 17 August 2023 announcing the initiation of investigation concerning possible circumvention of the countervailing measures imposed on imports of biodiesel originating in Indonesia by imports of biodiesel consigned from, inter alia, the Mainland of China, whether declared as originating in the Mainland of China or not, and making such imports subject to registration. 3.All interested parties must make themselves known by contacting the Commission within 15 days from 18 August 2023, present their views in writing and submit questionnaire replies, requests for exemptions or any other information within 37 days from 17 August 2023 and may apply to be heard by the Commission by the same deadline.
