European Union (EU)* : Ecodesign Requirements for Off Mode, Standby Mode, and Networked Standby Energy Consumption of Electrical and Electronic Household and Office Equipment
Further to the Commercial Information Circulars No. 130/2009 of 11 March 2009 and No. 689/2013 of 27 August 2013, the European Commission has adopted a Regulation which was published on 18 April 2023 to lay down ecodesign requirements for power consumption in off mode, standby mode, and networked standby mode in respect of electrical and electronic household and office equipment, and to repeal Commission Regulations (EC) No. 1275/2008 and (EC) No. 107/2009. Details are set out in the adopted Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/826, which will enter into force on 8 May 2023 with most of the provisions to apply from 9 May 2025 and can be accessed through the following link: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=CELEX:32023R0826&from=EN.
