United Kingdom (UK) : Results of transition review of the anti-dumping and countervailing measures on imports of certain continuous filament glass fibre products originating in the Mainland of China
The UK Government published notices 2023/01 and 2023/02 on 31 January 2023 to vary the definitive anti-dumping and countervailing duties on imports of certain continuous filament glass fibre products originating in the Mainland of China following the transition review. 2.Salient points of the notices are set out below -
| (a) Product | : | Chopped glass fibre strands, of a length of not more than 50 mm; glass fibre rovings, excluding glass fibre rovings which are impregnated and coated and have a loss on ignition of more than 3% (as determined by the ISO Standard 1887), currently falling under UK Global Tariff commodity codes 7019 11 00 00, 7019 12 00 22, 7019 12 00 25, 7019 12 00 26, 7019 12 00 39, originating in the Mainland of China |

| (b) Rate of duty | : | 19.9% of the net, free-at-the-frontier price, before other amounts of import duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates from 0% to 15.9%) |
| (c) Effective date | : | 26 April 2022 |
| (d) Duration | : | 3 years and 9 months |
| Variation of definitive countervailing duties | ||
| (e) Rate of duty | : | 10.3% of the net, free-at-the-frontier price, before other amounts of import duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates from 4.9% to 10.2%) |
| (f) Effective date | : | 30 January 2021 |
| (g) Duration | : | 5 years |
3.The definitive anti-dumping and countervailing duties on continuous filament glass fibre mats are revoked from 26 April 2022 and 30 January 2021 respectively.
4.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact ZHENG Jingmin, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 9797. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
