Commercial Information Circular No. 784/2022

European Union (EU)* : Result of expiry review of the anti-dumping measure on sodium cyclamate originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 505/2021 of 16 July 2021, the European Commission published an Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1924 on 11 October 2022 to impose a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of sodium cyclamate originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China following the expiry review. The Implementing Regulation is available at:

2.Salient points of the regulation are set out below -

(a) Product : Sodium cyclamate, currently falling under CN code ex 2929 90 00 (TARIC code 2929 90 00 10) and originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China
(b) Rate of duty : EUR 0.26 per kilogramme (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates from EUR 0.23 to EUR 1.17 per kilogramme)
(c) Effective date : 12 October 2022

3.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact ZHENG Jingmin, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 9797. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
