Commercial Information Circular No. 595/2022
European Union (EU)* : Amendments to Decisions on EU Eco-Label Award Scheme
Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 1028/2017 dated 21 November 2017, the European Commission has adopted a Decision to amend five Decisions (viz. 2014/312/EU, 2014/391/EU, 2014/763/EU, (EU) 2016/1332 and (EU) 2017/176) to prolong the period of validity of the EU Ecolabel criteria and of the related assessment and verification requirements for the following products:
- indoor and outdoor paints and varnishes to 31 December 2025;
- bed mattresses to 31 December 2026;
- absorbent hygiene products to 31 December 2023;
- furniture to 31 December 2026; and
- wood-, cork- and bamboo-based floor coverings to 31 December 2026.
