Commercial Information Circular No. 164/2022

European Union (EU)* : Impending expiry of the anti-dumping measures on imports of ceramic tiles originating in the Mainland of China

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 1091/2017 of 5 December 2017, the European Commission published a notice 2022/C 93/07 on 28 February 2022 concerning the impending expiry of the anti-dumping measures on imports of ceramic tiles originating in the Mainland of China.  The notice is available at:

2.   The product concerned is glazed and unglazed ceramic flags and paving, hearth or wall tiles; glazed and unglazed ceramic mosaic cubes and the like, whether or not on a backing, currently falling within CN codes 6907 10 00, 6907 90 20, 6907 90 80, 6908 10 00, 6908 90 11, 6908 90 20, 6908 90 31, 6908 90 51, 6908 90 91, 6908 90 93 and 6908 90 99.  Unless a review is initiated in accordance with the procedure set out in the notice, the anti-dumping measures will expire at midnight of 24 November 2022.

3.    Definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of the product originating in the Mainland of China have been imposed since 16 September 2011.  The current rate of anti-dumping duty is 69.7% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates from 13.9% to 36.5%).
