Commercial Information Circular No. 112/2022

European Union (EU)* : Impending expiry of the anti-dumping measures on imports of certain open mesh fabrics of glass fibres originating in the Mainland of China

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 1068/2017 of 30 November 2017, the European Commission published a notice 2022/C 63/07 on 7 February 2022 concerning the impending expiry of the anti-dumping measures on imports of certain open mesh fabrics of glass fibres originating in the Mainland of China.  The notice is available at: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=OJ:JOC_2022_063_R_0007&from=EN.

2.                     The product concerned is certain open mesh fabrics of glass fibres, of a cell size of more than 1.8 mm both in length and in width and weighing more than 35 g/m2, excluding fibreglass discs, currently falling within CN codes ex 7019 51 00 and ex 7019 59 00 (TARIC codes 7019 51 00 19 and 7019 59 00 19).  Unless a review is initiated in accordance with the procedure set out in the notice, the anti-dumping measures will expire at midnight of 8 November 2022.

3.                     Definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of the product originating in the Mainland of China have been imposed since 10 August 2011.  The current rate of anti-dumping duty is 62.9% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates from 48.4% to 62.9%).
