Commercial Information Circular No. 715/2021

European Union (EU)* : Result of expiry review of the anti-dumping measure on wire rod originating in the Mainland of China

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 790/2020 of 30 October 2020, the European Commission published an Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1805 on 13 October 2021 imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of wire rod originating in the Mainland of China following the expiry review. The Implementing Regulation is available at:

2.Salient points of the Regulation are set out below -

(a) Product : Bars and rods, hot-rolled, in irregularly wound coils, of iron, non-alloy steel or alloy steel other than of stainless steel, currently falling under CN codes 7213 10 00, 7213 20 00, 7213 91 10, 7213 91 20, 7213 91 41, 7213 91 49, 7213 91 70, 7213 91 90, 7213 99 10, 7213 99 90, 7227 10 00, 7227 20 00, 7227 90 10, 7227 90 50 and 7227 90 95, originating in the Mainland of China.
(b) Rate of Duty : 24.0% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for one company with an individual duty rate at 7.9%).
(c) Effective Date : 14 October 2021

The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
