European Union (EU)* : Impending expiry of anti-dumping measures on certain hot-rolled flat products of iron, non-alloy or other alloy steel originating in the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 262/2017 of 18 April 2017 and No. 486/2017 of 15 June 2017, the European Commission published a notice 2021/C 227/03 on 12 July 2021 concerning the impending expiry of the anti-dumping measures on imports of certain hot-rolled flat products of iron, non-alloy or other alloy steel originating in the Mainland of China. 2.The product concerned is certain flat-rolled products of iron, non-alloy steel or other alloy steel, whether or not in coils (including 'cut-to-length' and 'narrow strip' products), not further worked than hot-rolled, not clad, plated or coated, currently falling within CN codes: 7208 10 00, 7208 25 00, 7208 26 00, 7208 27 00, 7208 36 00, 7208 37 00, 7208 38 00, 7208 39 00, 7208 40 00, 7208 52 10, 7208 52 99, 7208 53 10, 7208 53 90, 7208 54 00, 7211 13 00, 7211 14 00, 7211 19 00, ex 7225 19 10 (TARIC code 7225 19 10 90), 7225 30 90, ex 7225 40 60 (TARIC code 7225 40 60 90), 7225 40 90, ex 7226 19 10 (TARIC code 7226 19 10 90), 7226 91 91 and 7226 91 99. Unless a review is initiated in accordance with the procedure set out in the notice, the anti-dumping measures will expire at midnight of 7 April 2022.

3.Definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain hot-rolled flat products of iron, non-alloy or other alloy steel originating in the Mainland of China has been imposed since 7 April 2017. The current rate of anti-dumping duty is 0% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates from 0% to 31.3%).
