Commercial Information Circular No. 154/2021

European Union (EU)* : Result of expiry review of anti-dumping measure on sulphanilic acid originating in the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 933/2019 of 27 December 2019, the European Commission published an Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/441 on 12 March 2021 imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of sulphanilic acid and its salts originating in the Mainland of China following the expiry review. The Implementing Regulation is available at:

2.Salient points of the regulation are set out below -

(a) Product : Sulphanilic acid and its salts currently falling under CN code ex 2921 42 00 (TARIC codes 2921 42 00 40, 2921 42 00 60, and 2921 42 00 61), originating in the Mainland of China
(b) Rate of Duty : 33.7%
(c) Effective Date : 11 March 2021

3.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact GONG Zhihong, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 6201. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
