Commercial Information Circular No. 113/2021

European Union (EU)* : Initiation of an anti-dumping proceeding on imports of calcium silicon originating in the Mainland of China

The European Commission published a notice 2021/C 58/15 on 18 February 2021 announcing the initiation of an anti-dumping proceeding concerning imports of calcium silicon originating in the Mainland of China. The notice is available at:

2.The product under investigation is an alloy or a chemical compound that contains by weight 16% or more of calcium, 45% or more of silicon, less than 14% of iron and not more than 10% of any other element; whether or not presented in bulk, packaged in bags or in steel drums, enclosed in steel sheets (or cored wire), or otherwise presented, currently classified under CN codes ex 7202 99 80 and ex 2850 00 60 (TARIC codes 7202 99 80 30 and 2850 00 60 91). 3.For traders involved in the exports of the subject product from the Guangdong Province, please contact LI Xuefei, Director of Trade Remedy and Industry Injury Investigation Division under the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, at 86 20 3881 6201. The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
