Commercial Information Circular No. 815/2020

European Union (EU)* : Results of expiry review of anti-dumping measures on certain prepared or preserved citrus fruits originating in the Mainland of China

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 894/2019 of 12 December 2019, the European Commission published an Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1534 on 22 October 2020 imposing a definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of certain prepared or preserved citrus fruits (namely mandarins, etc.) originating in the Mainland of China following the expiry review.  The Implementing Regulation is available at:

2.Salient points of the regulation are set out below -

(a) Product : Prepared or preserved mandarins (including tangerines and satsumas), clementines, wilkings and other similar citrus hybrids, not containing added spirit, whether or not containing added sugar or other sweetening matter, and as currently defined under HS heading 2008, currently falling under CN codes 2008 30 55, 2008 30 75 and ex 2008 30 90 (TARIC codes 2008 30 90 61, 2008 30 90 63, 2008 30 90 65, 2008 30 90 67 and 2008 30 90 69)
(b) Rate of Duty : EUR 531.2 per tonne net product weight
(except for a number of companies whose applicable amounts of duty ranging from EUR 361.4 to EUR 531.2 per tonne net product weight)
(c) Effective Date : 23 October 2020
(d) Duration : 5 years

The Division is responsible for, among others, guiding and coordinating enterprises in Guangdong Province in responding to anti-dumping investigations against products from the province.
