European Union (EU)* : Impending expiry of anti-dumping measures on silicon originating in the Mainland of China

Further to the Commercial Information Circular No. 552/2016 of 6 July 2016, the European Commission published a notice 2020/C 331/09 on 7 October 2020 concerning the impending expiry of the anti-dumping measures on imports of silicon originating in the Mainland of China. The notice is available at:

2.The product concerned is silicon, currently falling within CN code 2804 69 00. Unless a review is initiated in accordance with the procedure set out in the notice, the anti-dumping duty will expire at midnight of 6 July 2021.

3.Definitive anti-dumping duty on imports of the product originating in the Mainland of China has been imposed since 6 July 2016. The current rate of anti-dumping duty is 16.8% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for one company whose duty rate is 16.3%).
