European Union (EU)* : Amendments to the Union Customs Code

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 227/2019 dated 27 March 2019, the European Commission has adopted two Regulations to amend and correct regulations supplementing or for implementing Regulation (EU) No. 952/2013 which lays down the Union Customs Code (the Code).

2.Amendments were made to Delegated Regulation (EU) 2015/2446, Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/341 and Implementing Regulation (EU) 2015/2447 in order to better adjust the Code to the needs of economic operators and customs administrations as well as to take into account legislative developments and developments regarding the deployment of the IT systems established for the purposes of the Code. Corrections were made to Delegated Regulation (EU) 2015/2446 to clarify the instructions on the stamp and signature of certain proofs of union status.
