European Union (EU)* : Updates on the Candidate List of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC)

Further to Commercial Information Circular No. 585/2019 dated 5 August 2019, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has recently updated the candidate list of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC), adding four new substances to the list, including 1-vinylimidazole, 2-methylimidazole, dibutylbis(pentane-2,4-dionato-O,O')tin and butyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (Butylparaben). * The EU comprises of 27 member countries, namely, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.
