Commercial Information Circular No. 412/2020

United Kingdom (UK) : UK Global Tariff from 1 January 2021

The UK Government has announced on 19 May 2020 the UK's new most-favoured-nation tariff regime, the UK Global Tariff (UKGT). The UKGT will replace the EU's Common External Tariff, which applies until 31 December 2020. Exports of Hong Kong-origin goods to the UK will be subject to the UKGT with effect from 1 January 2021.
