Commercial Information Circular No. 363/2020

European Union (EU)* : Imposition of definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of certain woven and/or stitched glass fibre fabrics originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China

Further to the Commercial Information Circular 211/2020 of 13 March 2020, the European Commission published an implementing regulation (EU) 2020/492 to impose definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of certain woven and/or stitched glass fibre fabrics originating in, inter alia, the Mainland of China. The implementing regulation is available at:

2.Salient points of the regulations are set out below -

(a) Product : Fabrics of woven and/or stitched continuous filament glass fibre rovings and/or yarns with or without other elements, excluding products which are impregnated or pre-impregnated (pre-preg), and excluding open mesh fabrics with cells with a size of more than 1.8 mm in both length and width and weighing more than 35g/m2, currently falling under CN codes ex 7019 39 00, ex 7019 40 00, ex 7019 59 00 and ex 7019 90 00 (TARIC codes 7019 39 00 80, 7019 40 00 80, 7019 59 00 80 and 7019 90 00 80). 
(b) Rate of Duty : 99.7% of the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty (except for a number of companies with individual duty rates from 37.6% to 99.7%)
(c) Effective Date : 7 April 2020
(d) Duration : 5 years
